In 2024, ENERKOM Podlipansko proudly joined the European innovation project RENvolveIT, which aims to strengthen the development of community energy and sustainable energy solutions in local regions across Europe.
The main partner for the Czech Republic is the legal organization Frank Bold.
This project is supported by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic within the CET Partnership programme, through the Joint Call 2023.
As such, it has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 101069750.
RENvolveIT focuses on:
exchanging know-how between European regions in the field of renewable energy,
testing and implementing innovative tools such as smart grids, community energy storage, and digital electricity sharing management,
supporting the legislative framework for the development of energy communities,
building capacities among local stakeholders (municipalities, coordinators, technical teams),
engaging citizens in the decision-making and operation of community energy systems.
ENERKOM Podlipansko is participating as one of four pilot regions, contributing to the project by:
providing practical, on-the-ground experience,
testing the applicability of international tools in the Czech context,
contributing to the development of methodologies and recommendations for other regions in the Czech Republic and across the EU,
inspiring others through its journey towards regional energy self-sufficiency.
Participation in the RENvolveIT project allows the Podlipansko region to:
gain access to international experience, technologies, and experts,
position the region as a leader in community energy in the Czech Republic,
strengthen ENERKOM’s role as a platform connecting municipalities, businesses, and citizens in the field of energy.
RENvolveIT takes us one step further – from theory and legislation to the practical functioning of self-sufficient communities with a smart approach to shared energy.
