In 2024, ENERKOM Podlipansko received support through Call No. 7/2023 from the State Environmental Fund of the Czech Republic for the establishment of energy communities.
The project is funded by the National Recovery Plan (NPO) and the European Union, with the aim of laying a solid foundation for the development of community energy not only in the Podlipansko region but also in surrounding areas.
Establishment of an energy community – formal creation of an entity that connects renewable energy producers and consumers.
Analysis of technical possibilities for electricity generation and sharing in the region (solar panels, wind sources, energy storage).
Setting up legal and contractual frameworks between members of the community.
Ensuring a transparent and fair system for electricity sharing.
Development of methodologies and processes that will enable future involvement of additional municipalities, businesses, and citizens.
Thanks to this project, a pilot model is being developed in the Podlipansko region for sharing locally produced electricity from renewable sources.
Members of the energy community – including municipalities, schools, businesses, and households – will have the opportunity to:
jointly invest in photovoltaic systems (PV), batteries, and other solutions
generate and share electricity within a single community
collaborate on sustainable energy investments and benefit from shared savings
The project represents a key step towards energy self-sufficiency in the Podlipansko region.
It lays the foundation for a system that can be expanded in the future – both technically and in terms of community membership. At the same time, it serves as a source of inspiration and a model for other regions in the Czech Republic.
